Already Registered?

Once your registration is approved, you will receive an email from the AHSM team with a link to activate your membership.
We will also send you an email when it is time to renew your membership each year.

New Members

Please read the AHSM Membership Policy below, then fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

After you fill out the form, you will receive an email with your AHSM Member ID and instructions on how to make your Membership Payment.

MEMBERSHIP:

There are two membership categories, Members and Voting Members. To become a Member or a Voting Member, one shall satisfy both requirements given in the respective sections below:

Member

  • Anyone who believes in the purposes of the organization and willing to pay the membership fee can become a member
  • A Member shall satisfy the requirements given in the “Voting Members” section below to have a voting right

Voting Member:

  • To become a Voting Member, one shall be a Member of the organization for at least one year with an active participation and full membership fee payment
  • Shall have an Amhara descent at least on ONE SIDE of his/her parents

BOARD OF DIRECTORS/EXECUTIVE OFFICER:

To be elected for office or Board of Directors one shall:

  • Shall be a Voting Member for 24 months
  • Shall have an Amhara descent on BOTH SIDES of his/her parents
  • Shall have a recommendation from at least five existing Board of Directors or Executive members on his active participation in the organization as a member

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP:

One can apply for membership in one of the following ways

MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL PROCESS:

  • Interested individual submits an application form
  • AHSM’s Member Recruiting Officer gets a notification
  • AHSM’s Member Recruiting Officer schedules an in-person meeting with the applicant
  • AHSM’s Member Recruiting Officer presents the information for the Approving committee
  • The Approving committee makes decision
  • AHSM’s Member Recruiting Officer informs the applicant about the decision
  • If approved, applicant pays the membership fee and becomes a member
  • Existing members can pay their membership fee online or by sending a check to:

  • New members pay membership fee only after their approval to become a member.
